My Review of Vila Gale in Sintra,Lisbon ,Portugal
It's Friday night and I drive with my family from Lumiar ,Lisbon after a cool
Uber ride on good scenic road for about 45 minutes to spend the week end at
The 5 star resort of
VILA GALE @ Sintra thats about 6 km away from The Sintra National Palace.

First impression is always a lasting impression and this resort presents a real imposing and cool picture with great view of the palace and the verdant hills

This resort though in pretty good public demand and difficult to get booking unless booked early especially AR these times of summer holidays ,we managed to book a spacious apartment just across the main entrance that boasted of two comfortable bedrooms with double bed ,a living room again with extra bed,
dining table an attached balcony over looking the main building and the hills all round .A fully fiited out spacious kitchen withvall.modern gadgets to cook a good meal completes the live in area and comes with two car park in basement ad well .

Well mintained a garden with manicured lawns fountains ,3 restaurant , free WiFi, 3 swimming pool with one indoor completes the facilities this 5-star hotel has to offer in addition to other standard features that go with a 5 star rating .

Checking in was a breeze with staff offering all the required inputs for us to enjoy a comfortable weekend.

The experience of a dip in the pool and enjoying draft beer and fruit juice from.pool side bar was a giid start to our holiday.

Dinner at the Buffet restaurant was excellent with Chef João Afonso churning out a great spread doing a great justice to lovers of Vegetarian ,vegan and non veg clients with adequate variety for each .

Guillerme Simoes ensured all the diners were seated comfortably in their spacious restaurant with a welcomr warm smile in their face .
I am sure all the guests must have enjoyed their dinner with contentment with copious supply ,Variety and quality that cist a guest about 29 Euros if not booked along with accommodation and want to keep their option open to cook in or eat in their A la carte restaurant .

This is indeed a great place to.put up your feet with family n kids and weather being just right at thus time of the year at Lisbon and I would recommend this to my followers for a good holiday !

¡Cuidado con las habitaciones adaptadas!
Lamentablemente mi experiencia en este hotel fue muy decepcionante, especialmente por la falta de consideración hacia las personas con discapacidad. A pesar de reservar y pagar por una habitación adaptada, me encontré con la ausencia de barras de apoyo en el baño, las cuales no estaban fijadas a la pared. Esto representó un grave riesgo para mi integridad física, ya que las barras eran de ventosa, de quitar y poner) se caían constantemente, poniéndome en peligro cada vez que necesitaba utilizar el baño. Como persona con discapacidad, me vi obligada a recurrir a los baños de las zonas comunes para evitar accidentes. Es inaceptable que un establecimiento hotelero no cumpla con las normativas de accesibilidad, como lo establece el Decreto de Ley n.º 163/2006 y la Directiva de Accesibilidad de la UE. Esta situación no solo pone en riesgo la seguridad de los huéspedes con discapacidad, sino que también demuestra una falta de respeto hacia sus necesidades.

Hotel Top en una zona muy bonita
Hotel fantástico, buen staff, magníficas vistas y habitaciones confortables. Todo el equipo del hotel se preocupa porque tu estancia sea óptima.

Una opción muy valorable para recorrer esa zona de Lisboa.

Un 4* pero no 5*
Lo positivo Las instalaciones con piscina climatizada y la localización que hace posible ir en taxi o similar a Sintra o cascáis sin ser prohibitivo. Aparcamiento gratuito.

Lo Negativo· Al ser un hotel de 5*, no es por las instalaciones es por el servicio que se presta que lo hace destacar y no es el caso, al pedir la cena en el Room Service nos la trajeron sin cubrir los platos por lo que llegaron fríos y paseados por todos los pasillos del hotel, no se ofrecieron a montarnos la mesa con la cena solo nos dieron la bandeja en la puerta y salieron corriendo sin explicar si al finalizar la dejábamos fuera de la habitación o volvíamos a llamar. La habitación sin hacer a las 1700 horas después de haber salido de ella a las 900 horas para hacer turismo, y la respuesta que nos dan en la planta es que tienen preferencia los check in antes que los clientes que se quedan, al reclamar que nos hagan la habitación solo nos estiran la cama, dejando las mesitas de noche movidas en medio de la habitación, y nos cambian las toallas por otras nuevas, habiendo dejado las toallas mojadas o algo húmedo encima de las sábanas y nos las encontramos mojadas. Al llamar a recepción para que nos cambien las sábanas húmedas todavía estamos esperando a que alguien viniese. Él baños es de estilo moderno abierto con mampara de cristal que no cierra completamente quedándose a media altura en el retrete y en la ducha, que si bien daba intimidad no evitaba que cada vez que el vecino usaba el retrete se oyese en la habitación, lo mismo que le pasaría a él con el mío.
En primer lugar nos gustaría darle las gracias por sus comentarios, que merecen nuestra mejor atención.

Gehobenes Hotel außerhalb Zentrum
Das Hotel liegt ziemlich weit außerhalb vom historischen Stadtzentrum. Man braucht ein Taxi oder ein Uber, die Preise dafür sind aber fair. Die Architektur und das Design des Hotels sind sehr gehoben. Auch die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll, allerdings ist wie bereits in anderen Bewertungen angegeben kein abgeschlossenes Badezimmer vorhanden. Das Waschbecken befindet sich in einer Nische, auf einer Seite zum Zimmer abgetrennt durch die große Dusche mit Schwungglasttür auf der anderen Seite zum Außenflur ist die Toilette, die ebenfalls nur mit einer oben offenen Schwungglastür abgeschlossen ist. Dies sieht zwar stylisch aus, ist aber nicht gerade benutzerfreundlich, auch wegen der Lichtverhältnisse nachts.Das Hotel ist super sauber, das Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Buffetessen war gut, das Frühstücksbuffet hatte große Auswahl an frischen Zutaten. Ergibt viele kostenlose Tiefgaragenplätze.

IL SENSO DELLA QUINTA STELLA NELL'ACCOGLIENZA. .
Vorrei approfittare di questo spazio e del tempo concessomi da chi mi legge per esprimere un'opinione e fare dei ringraziamenti al Direttore.

Con una premessa, e non per presunzione.

Mi considero, da cinquantenne,innanzitutto un Viaggiatore. E ho lavorato per 20 anni nel Turismo Internazionale.

Ho visto l'evoluzione dell'industria turistica e ho certo apprezzato la "liberalizzazione dei cieli" che ha permesso al mercato di allargare l'offerta rendendo più accesdibile a tutti il fantastico gioco del viaggiare.

Assieme a esso, abbiamo anche tutti visto certi innegabili risvolti meno positivi: con la banalizzazione del Viaggio, salvo alcune eccezioni, è peggiorato il Servizio, la maggiore offerta ha permesso a nuove strutture alberghiere di ritagliarsi fette di mercato e tutti, chi con più professionalità chi con meno, si sono gettati all'arrembaggio. E le stelle, ahimè, sono diventate molto ballerine: appaiono dal nulla, a volte sembrano essere state disegnate a matita. Al punto di sentirci tutti un poco diffidenti, al momento di scegliere.

Ma l'Accoglienza, come la classe, non te la inventi dall'oggi al domani. E poi non sempre, nella vita come nell'ambito del business, è solo una questione di mezzi economici.

Ecco il senso di una Quinta Stella.

Qualcosa che vada necessariamente al di là di una struttura incantevole, di un Servizio eccellente o di una privacy assoluta: perché l'Ospite non deve solo essere stupito e il lusso è un concetto che va oltre la tangibilità. È tatto. È saper fare fronte all'imprevisto con tempestività, certo: ma è anche questione di modi, di garbo.

Vengo al fatto.

Scrivo dal Brasile e, nel mio ultimo soggiorno presso il Vila Galé di Sintra, prima di partire si è verificato un problema che, trovandomi ora a tale distanza, mi avrebbe certamente creato dei problemi, se non addirittura farmi anticipare il ritorno. Una questione non di carattere economico, ma di ordine pratico che non sto qui a riferire. Certamente, se mi fossi trovato a interagire con persone non così professionalmente preparate, sarebbe potuto accadere di tutto.

Per come è stato gestita l'intera situazione, per i modi e per la classe dimostratami, mi trovo qui a ringraziare l'intero Team, a cominciare dal Direttore.

Appare quasi superfluo, a questo punto, elencare ogni pregio dell'Hotel perché questa recensione si farebbe ancora più lunga. La foto che ho postato del momento del Breakfast, da sola, dovrebbe essere in grado di trasmettere molto sull'atmosfera che vi regna. Il Portogallo, questo sì un vero lusso, fa il resto con la sua magia diffusa.

Grand hotel de luxe en retrait de la ville
Resort hotelier confortable, les chambres sont spacieuses avec une terrasse ou un balcon. Le personnel de la partie de spa est très accueillant avec la possibilité de réserver des créneaux gratuits pour la piscine intérieur, le jacuzzi ou le hamman.
La piscine extérieure est très belle mais trop ventée au moment de notre venue.

Lovely stay- shame about lack of cooking facilities in apartment and no iron.
We had an apartment which was really lovely. The only issue is you have to ask for pots and pans. Limited kettles available. There is limited cooking facilities. However the apartment is lovely. No iron is given, they say it’s for H&S reasons. I found this ridiculous as you can take your own iron! They just do not want to give you an iron so you use their laundry service.

Cleaning : the cleaners do a minimum clean. Not really 5* standard.
Restaurant: poor selection and unhappy employees who are not welcoming
Spa: amazing massage
Pools: really great

5* Stay, Amazing 🥳
Me and my husband stayed for one night. This is the BEST hotel I ever stayed in.
RECEPTION, lovely check in.
A BIG thank you to ROBSON, who were just lovely. As it was my birthday we received complimentary white bottle of wine, two delicious chocolates cakes and fruit. Thank you for making our stay so special.

ROOM-standard room it was very spacious with balcony. King size bed so comfy. Towels so soft, Complimentary robes and slippers, Mini bar and complimentary water.
TV with a lot of channels, no access to Netflix.

SPA, POOLS- amazing 2 outdoor pools, one indoor pool with warmer water, jacuzzi.
Loved it, so relaxing.

RESTAURANT- breakfast and dinner were buffet, so much choice of delicious food.

STAFF- every one was friendly and Thanks to restaurant staff of helping my husband with vegetarian options at the buffet.

Hotel design- loved the fresh green design with historic decorations.

Gran hotel cerca de Sintra.
Muchas actividades para los pequeños que disfrutaron con los animadores.
Las piscinas y spa están genial, lástima del viento que tuvimos para aprovechar bien las de fuera.

Beautiful property
We had a great time during our 5 night stay at the Vila Gale Sintra. I’ll start with the pros of the resort.

The property itself is beautiful. The pools, the scenery around the hotel are amazing. The family room layout was great for us. It was essentially what appeared to be what used to be two rooms combined into one. The large balcony was great for sitting out at night. The sunset was spectacular from our room. The kids activities were great as my kids got to enjoy the carousel, playground and trampoline park. Be aware though that they only open these at certain times throughout the day. The breakfast was great and had a ton of selections.

There were a few cons, the first was the buffet dinner. It was quite expensive at 29 euros per person and the options werent great. They only really had one meat and one fish that they were cooking and there was a line to wait in if you wanted it. We only ate dinner there the first night. The room was partially refurbished. The carpet looked older and the sliding door within the room kept coming off the tracks. And the bathroom was a little odd in that the vanity was open to the rest of the room. So if someone needed to use the lights for it they would light potentially wake up the person in the room if they were sleeping. Then the WiFi, while it worked well for the most part, kept having to reconnect to the network. This happened on both my phone and iPad several times each day while I was there.

The location of the hotel has its pluses and minuses. It is a quiet resort away from the city of Sintra. And it’s also located in a place that makes it easy to get to the beach and Colares. But there isn’t anything else right around the hotel so you need to rent a car or take an Uber to get around. We took and Uber and it did work pretty well. Nothing is within walking distance and the nearest bus stop is a 20-30 minute walk away.

The best hotel for families with kids
It was a family trip with 5 years old kids and it was a great experience for them.
A lot of activities, a lot of choices to have fun: kids pool, carrousel, trampoline.

It is also a great hotel, with nice pools, good environment, great breakfast and very good services.

The rooms maybe need some renovation, a little more care with details and cleanliness, to ensure a 5 star hotel category.

Precioso lugar para relajarse y disfrutar
Lo que me gustó: Lugar precioso, instalaciones limpias y personal amable. El desayuno buffet estuvo muy rico y variado. La habitacion amplia y con unas vistas muy bonitas. Lugar para relajarse con piscina interior y spa. Parking gratuito. Muchas actividades para los niños. Volveremos seguro.
Lo que no me gustó: Por decir algo la cena buffet no la recomiendo muy cara 29€ por persona y había poca variedad de comida. Calidad-precio de la cena no es buena.

Très bel endroit.
C'est un très bel hôtel, malheureusement assez perdu dans les collines de Sintra que cette Vila Gale. Les chambres sont excellentes, la literie de qualité, il y a un réfrigérateur avec un four micro ondes et un évier avec de la vaisselle dans un tiroir.
Il y a deux grandes piscines extérieures, une grande intérieure chauffée avec un spa, un jacuzzi et un sauna. j'ai pu aussi avoir droit à un massage tonifiant du dos. Nous profitions de la piscine tous les soirs après nos excursions.
Le restaurant est excellent, le petit déjeuner sous forme buffet est très abondant, il y a énormément de choix, les produits sont de très bonne qualité. De même pour le dîner où il a toujours une grande variété de plats chauds excellents.
Le personnel est particulièrement aimable et attentif à vos désirs. Nous avons été accueillis par une jeune réceptionniste parlant le français qui nous a bien conseillé et beaucoup aidé également.
C'est un très bel endroit, mais il faut avoir un bon GPS pour le trouver.

Hôtel situé en pleine campagne où la voiture est nécessaire et aucune navette pour pouvoir visiter les environs. Accueil froid et pas souriant. Malheureusement tout est à cette image, bel hôtel récent mais sans aucune âme. Le pire c'est la restauration, aucun choix et surtout cuisine très simple. Nous sommes allés plusieurs fois dans des Vila Gale dont celui de Porto qui est excellent avec un buffet digne de ce nom. Là 4 entrées au choix, 3 plats et idem pour les desserts. Beaucoup de pâtes.. Il est indiqué que l'hôtel est le paradis des enfants et ça se ressent quant aux choix des plats proposés, quel dommage. Quant au personnel, beaucoup de débutants qui ne connaissent pas le métier et qui enlèvent vos assiettes, verres et bouteilles de vin alors que vous n'avez pas fini de manger. Le côté positif la qualité des chambres et leur taille. De belles piscines. Cela ne vaut pas les 5 étoiles affichées, vraiment déçus !

Un cadre merveilleux
Activités pour les enfants au top. Les filles étaient ravies. Les animateurs étaient merveilleuse et cela permet au parents d'aller tranquillement profiter d'un bon massage. Le petit-déjeuner était parfait.

Piscine extérieure beaucoup trop froide.
5 euros le bonnet pour la piscine, beaucoup trop cher et obligatoire pour la piscine intérieure.
Réservation obligatoire pour la restauration alors que le restaurant était totalement vide, malgré cela, le temps d'attente est un scandale, mes enfants étaient désespérées à table. Pour grignoter un snack il faut compter minimum 1h30. Et un cocktail 15 minutes. C'est un scandale! Du jamais vu!
Pas de service aux abord des piscines, il faut aller chercher, pas facile avec des enfants.
Un bagagiste dans un hôtel 5 étoiles, c'est le minimum mais.. il n'y en a pas.
Manque d'ambiance, personnel froid et peu dynamique.

Durchschnittliches Hotel zu eine, hohem preis
Wir waren 3 Tage hier und enttäuscht. Landeskategorie 5 Sterne, normalerweise 3 Sterne plus. Die sportmöglichkeiten sind begrenzt. Ein fitnessraum existiert nur auf dem Papier. Man hat einfach ein paar Hanteln in einem Raum gestellt. Der indoor Pool ist so warm, dass schwimmen nicht angenehm ist. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Lage und die Freunlichkeit des Personals. Ich würde das Hotel nur bedingt weiterempfehlen.

Avec le sourire c'est mieux
Superbe hôtel, au calme, chambre spacieuse, cadre magnifique ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Par contre ce n'est pas parce que l'on travaille dans un "5*" qu'il est interdit de sourire. Nous sommes arrivés de nuit, nous avons été stressés par l'ambiance qui régnait dans le hall d'entrée, pas un sourire, ni un mot de français d'ailleurs ! Bruit important de canalisation, manque d'eau chaude au lavabo le jour où nous y étions, indigne d'un 5* - Bonnet de bain obligatoire au SPA !!!

Zuerst zum Positiven: Das Hotel liegt ruhig in hügeliger Landschaft und am Horizont sieht man sogar den Palacio da Pena. Das Personal war freundlich und das Abendess en-Buffet im Durchschnitt etwas besser als in anderen Vila Gale-Hotels. Ausserdem bemüht man sich um die Vermittlung eines gesunden Lebensstils.
Für ein 5-Stern-Hotel fehlt aber jede Menge. Das Personal wirkt zum Beispiel in vielen Bereichen überfordert. Die Frage nach einem Kuchen am Nachmittag führte zuerst zu Verwirrung, dann zu einem Verweis auf die Dessert-Karte, von der dann ein Kuchen nicht verfügbar war und der zweite einfach in den 20 Minuten, die wir für den Kaffee brauchten, nicht serviert wurde. Beim Abendessen - ab 19 Uhr - kamen wir um 19.15 Uhr und fanden viele Tische noch schmutzig und ungedeckt vor.
Am Frühstücksbuffet übertreiben sie es dann mit der Gesundheit - Croissants nur als Vollkornvariante und Salz nur in Form von vier gut versteckten Mühlen für das gesamte Restaurant.
Es gibt zwar drei Pools, aber viel zu wenige Liegen und Schirme, weshalb sogar viele Familien mit Kleinkindern am Badetuch in der Wiese liegen mussten.
Und falls man Sintra besuchen will: Das Hotel liegt etwa fünf Kilometer ausserhalb der Stadt, weshalb man doch wieder auf einen raren Parkplatz hoffen muss.

Fünf Tage Luxus...
Aber keine 5 Sterne.
Schick aber eher steril, vor allem Frühstücksraum und Restaurant.
Frühstück großzügiges Buffet, alles gut aber nicht top.
Abends Portionen eher dürftig, Preis-Leistung hier nicht angemessen. Guter Wein, dieser erstaunlich günstig.
Abends Kellnerin nicht so freundlich, wie man in so einem Hotel erwarten würde, der Kellner war freundlich, insgesamt alle freundlich.
Im vorigen Hotel-was deutlich einfacher war-war der Service insgesamt ehrlicher, freundlicher und schneller, das Essen deutlich mehr, feiner und exklusiver als hier...
Zimmer sehr schön und sauber, leider Teppich und etwas düster. Licht auf dem Balkon geht nachts nicht abzuschalten und blendet ins Bett (Vorhang it sehr dünn, macht nicht dunkel)
